Solar on grid system

How Solar On Grid / Net Meter System Works ??

Whenever the sun shines (and even in overcast weather), the solar cells generate electricity. The grid connect inverter converts the DC electricity produced by the solar panels into 240V AC electricity, which can then be used by the property/household.

If a grid connect system is producing more power than the home consumes, the surplus is fed into the power grid. Some electricity companies meter the electricity fed into the grid by your system and provide a credit on your bill. How much you are paid is determined by the feed-in tariff.

When the solar cells are not producing power, for example at night, power comes from the mains power grid as usual. The energy retailer charges the usual rate for the power used.

As all components in a system have no moving parts, you can expect a long hassle free life from your solar power system!

Who Should Opt

  • Places having electricity bill in excess of Rs 5000/month

Benefits

  • Cheapest Solar Energy Solution Available
  • No Battery Required, Hence Unlimited Storage
  • Negligible Maintenance Required
  • Unlimited Heavy Loading like AC, Fridge, Lift, Motor

FAQ

As a rule of thumb 1kW solar require 100 sq.ft shadow free area.

Life of solar panels is over 25 years, but sadly life of cement (asbestos) sheet is much less than that so installing on cement shed doesn’t make sense

Yes, whatever you are using right now (AC, Fridge, Lift, Pump) can be used after going solar

Solar works with 60% efficiency in rainy days
